Young Australian of The Year 2019: Danzal Baker

The Australian of the Year Awards celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to their community. In 2019, the Young Australian of The Year title was awarded to Danzal Baker, an Indigenous Australian rapper, dancer, artist and actor. He is known for his original hip-hop songs incorporating English and Indigenous languages.

This video was shown at the award ceremony after it was announced that he was nominated for the award.

We aimed to create a video that would celebrate Baker's multiculturalism, energy, and love for music. Our video incorporated dynamic typography, rotoscoping, and a variety of colourful overlays and graphics.
